How To Back up Your Twitter Account
It is super easy to download a copy of all the data Twitter has on you.
In the past 24 hours we’ve gotten an increasingly dire and depressing view of the mess that Elon has made at Twitter. Given how uncertain the future of the platform looks, it could be a good idea to download a copy of your Twitter account. According to Twitter this backup will include…
"… your profile information, your Tweets, your Direct Messages, your Moments, your media (images, videos, and GIFs you’ve attached to Tweets, Direct Messages, or Moments), a list of your followers, a list of accounts that you are following, your address book, Lists that you’ve created, are a member of or follow, interest and demographic information that we have inferred about you, information about ads that you’ve seen or engaged with on Twitter, and more.”
Here is how to do it…
Visit Twitter.com and login if you haven’t already
Click on the “More” button
Click through to “Settings and Support”, and then “Settings and privacy”
From here select “Download an archive of your data” and request a zip file on the following page
Twitter will process the request and send you a link to the zip file within about 24 hours.
